Gotowalnia
(fr. boudoir) – boudoir, also a vanity table; a separate private women’s room which served as a space for feminine intimate world, relaxation, socializing, meetings and conversations with women from elite circles of the contemporary society. Often, a boudoir was a tiny room for hygiene and grooming procedures such as dressing, washing, brushing and styling hair and wigs. The room was full of women’s essentials such as lace curtains, draperies, upholsteries, bed fences and canopies, beds and matching furnishing kept in one style and colour, mirrors, candlesticks, and small everyday objects such as coffee and tea sets, boxes for cosmetics and toiletries, inkwells, sandpipers, chiffoniers, small tables and chairs.
