Jubka (jupka)

a short women’s outer garment from the 18th century worn over a skirt and bodice. Most often they were circle-cut and mismatched at the waist with the front halves overlapping diagonally. They were trimmed or lined with fur. For example, thirteen “jupeczkas” are listed in Tekla Róża Sapieżyna’s inventory, including a red gros de Tours jupka with a silver kampana (bobbin lace), lined with spotted ermine. Jupkas were also lined with cony and dormice.
