Krambambula
one of the most expensive Gdańsk vodkas; a kind of herbal tincture made with cinnamon, black pepper, caraway, ginger, anis, and juniper. It was prepared in many versions, for example, as a hot beverage with water, vodka, sugar and lemon. It was also used as a miraculous potion for a hangover. Jędrzej Kitowicz considered krambambula as the most expensive type of vodka, next to ratafia.
