Panny apteczkowe
apothecary maidens; women employed at noble courts as herbalists managing court (household) pharmacies. They possessed knowledge of medicinal herbs and could provide basic medical aid by preparing herbal mixtures. They were responsible for household medicine cabinets and filled them with herbs and spices.
