Marszałek dworu
marshal of the court; a senior official at a private court, serving as the main link between the court owner and the court personnel and servants. In agreement with the lord/lady, marshal of the court was responsible for the structure of the court staff, supervised their order and behaviour, and often set or consulted on wage rates with the court treasurer.
