Kameryzowanie

bezel setting; a popular goldsmithing technique used in decorating jewellery, weapons, everyday use items, book covers, and liturgical vessels. Stones were set using various methods, including drilling, riveting, encasing between two metal layers or surrounding with a wire or a metal plate. The plate edges were bent around the stone to prevent it from falling out (so-called “cargo”). Apart from cargo, the technique included styles such as filigree and milgrain.
